Custom Chenille Patches: Some Insights from the Experts at HPI Emblem

Hear from our experts to some common questions around custom chenille patches, one of our most popular products.

Q: What's the difference between stacked felt and offset felt?

A: There are a few options when it comes to the felt backing for chenille patches. Stacked felt consists of two pieces of felt stacked on top of each other, and offset felt means the bottom felt is slightly bigger, making it look like it has a second border.

Here are some views from the back. The offset felt version will have an extra piece of felt.

Q: Can you iron on chenille patches?

A: No. In our experience it will crush and melt the yarn. We recommend sew-on application for chenille patches to maintain the quality of the patch

Q: Can I get a letter with an insert?

A: Yes, but the charge would be the letter price plus the insert price.

Q: Can I get the same chenille patch with text changes and be charged quantity discount pricing?

A: No, if there’s a text change, we would charge the patches separately.

Q: Can you do custom colors for chenille?

A: No, but we do offer a large range of colors and recently added even more color choices, like hot pink and neon green, to our chenille color options.

This doesn’t look like chenille to me. This isn’t chenille, doesn’t have the right angle reflections, luster, softness, thickness, strength. These are Moss Stitch patches. Terry cloth.

The main visual difference between Hard Enamel Pins and Soft Enamel Pins is the texture. While hard enamel has a smooth finish, soft enamel pins consist of dips and ridges.
